How to make the hard things work well - exploration, engagement, excitement, and by pushing a few buttons.
How do you spend your free time?
I get asked this a lot. After the temptation to lament how little free time we all have, I actually have a few good answers.
Spend time with family.
Go to local sporting events.
Take comedy classes.
Go to the local Orlando parks (all but one - a topic for another day) to ride coasters and explore.
Watch good TV shows. (Severance, Shrinking, and every season of Top Chef top my list of late)
The point? I’m not lacking of things to do after I close my computer for the day.
So I was as surprised as anyone when I found 16ish hours last weekend to attend an online AI certification course by Outskill/Growth School.
16 hours added onto my existing screen time is not easy on the eyes or the attention span.
But I did it. They put on a great program, with great content, and every session was packed with useful tips - even in categories we consider ourselves proficient at.
One of our favorite things is helping others see the power of tools they have on or near-hand that can make a huge difference in their business.
While I recommend taking any Outskill free masterclasses to dive deep, we’re pulling together our highlights of the 16 hours in a 90-minute session this week for those looking for an overview. We’ll focus on marketing uses.
When: Wednesday, February 5th, 10:30 am EST
How long: 90 minutes including Q&A
Good for: The overview will be best for those with a paid chatGPT account. Other tools will be shared that may have some costs. We’ll do our best to mention it before we demo.
Topics we’ll try to cover:
- How to improve your customGPT results
- Quick tips in image, image-to-video, and song creation
- What’s possible with basic AI agents
- How to set up a social content generation workflow that generates content using automation and AI

Survey results are in! We used ChatGPT to help summarize, and here are the key takeaways:
1. Lead Generation Challenges: Generating leads is the most common challenge followed by staying current with evolving marketing trends.
2. Strong Interest in AI: Responders are looking at AI tools for marketing (including AI image generators) and want to learn how best to apply AI across various channels.
3. Actionable Learning Formats: Quick tips, short videos, case studies, and templates/step-by-step processes are the most popular requests.
4. Small Teams Need Simplicity: Most marketing teams are small (1–2 people), emphasizing the need for easily implementable, time-efficient strategies.
5. Content Repurposing is a Priority: There’s a desire to repurpose existing content (blogs, books, notes) into new marketing assets without sounding robotic or repetitive.
