How to make the hard things work well - exploration, engagement, excitement, and by pushing a few buttons.
Twice in the last two weeks, I’ve worked with two different client teams to release multi-faceted campaigns.
In both cases, we slowed down to follow a process go quickly and succeed. I thought I’d share it here.
1. Provide a pre-read on best practices and examples so even those without marketing experience could contribute with confidence.
2. Pull together the team to discover what we can share that will bring value - keep this as a brainstorming session but land on an idea the team is excited about AND that aligns to overall goals. Capture.
3. Pull together an expert or group of experts to be the voice of the value.
4. Document a fully supported campaign with input from the content team - I used a combination of LucidChart and Asana to plan then manage the deliverables - over 35 touchpoints in each campaign!
5. Set timing and responsibility expectations.
6. Conduct check ins.
7. Create campaign elements.
8. Program.
9. QA.
10. Launch!
11. Monitor, Measure, and Maximize.
