How hard do you push yourself?
I have a friend doing the Seven Summits challenge. A family member who’s an Olympic gold medalist. And know at least 4 of you reading this that have done ultras or multiple marathons.
I clock in with just a couple of half-marathons and boot camp behind me, but I want to give credit to those pushing themselves professionally right now too.
Several of you are running multiple businesses.
Many of you who have never been “techy” are finding yourselves leaning into and learning all kinds of new tools.
You courageous lot are learning how to be ok, great even, with visibility and putting yourself out there on social and in new ways of communicating.
I’ve been watching promotions and new job celebrations - even three new businesses born.
Honestly, even those of us just getting by deserve some congratulations.
There’s a lot going on in the world. Things are moving faster. Trends go by often before we even know they are a trend.
You are doing great. Keep going.
Why the email dedicated to congratulating ourselves on jobs well done?
Good question.
This week, we had our first-ever challenge course. It was 4 days, 30 minutes a day. Seems easy, right? When I watch others do it, it does.
We learned technology, what worked and didn’t work, how much communication it really takes to make a course successful, and just how much the world needs non-salesy, high-value.
We had no less than 4 tech glitches.
But we kept showing up. And you all kept showing up. It wasn’t easy after all, but it was totally worth it. As most good things are.
So this is both a thank you and a reminder to keep going, keep trying new things.
The world needs your good work.
Thanks,
Rebecca and the Advisory 9 team
